At the heart of any decision to deploy a water-current turbine for commercial power generation, is the performance of the turbine itself, which translates directly into return on investment.
The efficiency of the DHV turbine, verified during testing, is rated at 60% from a single venturi turbine rotor, which surpasses all other currently available designs, shrouded or non-shrouded.
From detailed data collection obtained during testing, the performance and power output of DHV turbines can be precisely quantified for a given turbine size and flow rate.
